Reduce
At NTG, we prioritise sustainability by optimising our organisational and production processes to minimise waste, reduce raw and secondary material usage, and cut down on energy consumption. We utilise efficient machinery, improve design to reduce excess fabric, and streamline operations, all essential steps in reducing our ecological footprint and promoting a greener future.
How We Achieve This:
- Renewable Energy Investment: We invest significantly in renewable electricity, powering our energy-intensive machinery, with approximately 70% of our annual electricity consumption sourced from renewables.
- Electric Fleet Vehicles: 85% of our fleet vehicles are capable of charging with electricity powered by solar energy, drastically reducing CO2 emissions.
- Sustainable Packaging: We’ve significantly reduced product packaging and are transitioning to 100% recyclable packaging for our Lion products, ensuring an eco-friendly alternative.
- Supplier Collaboration: We work closely with our suppliers to minimise packaging waste and optimise deliveries, reducing delivery frequency and further cutting down on our carbon footprint.
- Maintenance for Efficiency: Regular servicing and maintenance of all our plant machinery ensures energy efficiency, prolongs equipment life cycles, and prevents unnecessary landfill waste by keeping machinery in safe working order.
Reuse
We extend the life of resources by reusing raw materials and by-products wherever possible.
Our Focus:
- Material Reuse: Secondary materials and tertiary packaging are repurposed to cut waste.
- Recycled Fabrics: We’re exploring the use of recycled raw materials to support a circular economy.
- Energy Efficiency: Solar power and energy-saving systems reduce overall resource consumption.
Recycle
We actively recycle secondary waste to reduce landfill and dependence on virgin materials.
What We Do:
- Waste Processing: Plastic and cardboard are baled onsite and sent to recycling centres.
